Product Description
CHROMA TATTOO INK is a non-acrylic traditional powder based formulation designed to run as fast or faster than any aqueous based acrylic tattoo ink. It is not a hybrid traditional powder – acrylic wet dispersion formulation. There are no shortcuts to make this ink. Each of the various pigments are shear mixed to achieve optimum pigment size, intensity and opacity for each color. As a result, this ink has a substantial pigment load, works extremely fast, is very easy to blend, and heals bright. It does not dry in the cap and it does not clump up and become a hard acrylic rock at the bottom of the bottle.

Great
If you’re looking for the closest thing to a “middle” red out there, that heals up bright and rich, but not TOO dark like a crimson sometimes can, this is the one. Not leaning orange (lipstick), not leaning blue (crimson), this one is just right. *This IS a bright but still rich color though, so don’t bother pairing it with Chroma Crimson. The healed results are noticeable, but not immediately distinct. I find that jumping over one value in their available colors offers better contrast. For example, if you want to have a darker red tone between black and Bright red, I’d go with Chroma’s Dragon’s blood red. If you want to pair with a lighter value, jump right over Chroma’s Lipstick or Light red (which is, in my opinion a slightly more pastel version of lipstick, so buy one or the other, but not both) jump down to Chroma’s Persimmon. Technically Persimmon is a red-ORANGE, rather than an orange-RED like Lipstick, but it will give you more distinct values after it’s healed if you’re doing something like a red to orange to golden yellow for flames.
